katua 10 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) If some localization team guys had their money for their work i would take it back. Terrible localization. Google translator could have made a better work. They don´t have any clue about military terms, they even don´t have any clue about standard PC game´s nomenclature. I am wondering if they even know standard spanish. Sometimes you just have to translate the translation and imagine what they are trying to say. Gramatical punchs everywhere, literal translations wich lose all mean, words that don´t even exist in spanish, invented acronyms... A pain in the ass Also there are no spanish voices, it wouldn´t matter if there was another kind of game, but it is really hard to keep with the bad translated dialogs and stay alert or combat in the campaign for example. At the top of all, for some reason, they dont translate strong language. If they dont know, shit means mierda, and fuck you jodete. Malleus 0 Posted July 15, 2009 Is it really that bad? Well at least you can switch to english any time, the hungarian version (which also has horrible translation) only has the hungarian language available (luckily, english could be modded in). I've heard several complaints about the translations now, with the hungarian and russian and now the spanish version. Maybe BIS should just release in english next time a game is released - considering how bad some of the translations are, it was just a waste of money/time. Not to mention the extra costs for fixing it. Btw, the teams who did the translations most likely never saw the game. They usually get an excel file with all the text and that's it. At least that was the case with hungarian team. So it's not just their fault. Doesn't really excuse the bad quality though.

Placebo 31 Posted July 15, 2009 Localisation is something dealt with by the publisher, so you should contact them directly regarding it.
