Bucko 0 Posted March 14, 2002 After two complete re-installs ( deleted all files from dir.) still have problem with any automatic weapon firing on its own. Yep every time I pick up a MG or jump into the gunner potion of a vehical they empty the clips automatically.  NO addons installed. OS is windows XP Didn’t have problem until 1.
dayglow 2 Posted March 14, 2002 Sure it's the game and not your hardware? Mouse button or joystick set to autofire or something? Never heard of this problem before. COLINMAN
rickyrrude 0 Posted March 14, 2002 actually i've seen this in multiplayer a couple times. I haven't played the game with the latest patches as of yet, but this was an issue with 1.4. You get in a vehicle or MG and it will start firing by itself - I don't know about the clips depleting, but it would fire(sort of). The sound would go off, the flash was there, and there were tracers, but nothing was being hit. When you pressed the fire button, the auto-gun would go away, and sometimes come back. Aculaud 0 Posted March 14, 2002 theres also the little known (ok, not so little known) fact that Windows XP isn't compatable with anything unless your computer came from half a year into the future cause microsoft thinks too highly of themselves to to make their software compatable with what everyone uses right now. FallenPaladin 0 Posted March 14, 2002 This is why I use good old Win98 SE Under XP Prof. I encountered heavy crashes, for example when watching DVD and to other occasions, my PC simply shut down, while in working progress!!!
ALDEGA 0 Posted March 14, 2002 Probably because you're using win9x drivers
Bucko 0 Posted March 14, 2002 I do not get random or initial fire with rifle sf but if I go to auto or pick m60 out of ammo box rat tat tat. Or if I switch chopper to manual fire, same thing. XP has been one of the best OS that I’ve used and this problem didn't show up for 2 months. I have played this game every day since Sept. but lately been trying other games and one of those may have configured my system or an add-on. I've heard of this problem but can't remember where or which forum. Hummm is it possible to switch the logic of a mouse button? Down is up or up is down? Maybe I'm just missing the first shot fired.  I have heard of the double mouse icon but never had that problem.
