Recommended Posts

i followed the tweaking guide on 3d spotlight (i think that was the website) ..

performace got blasted beyond believe .. no kidding , real boost ...

only thing is , ever since i messed with it i have messed up graphics like this :

delta.jpg

does anyone know what setting in the OFP preferences tool adjust/fixes those faults ?

or is it because i switched to direct3d HW T&L ?

thanks for your help

Give us the details of your settings in both the OFP preferences program and in VIDEO SETTINGS from within OFP's OPTIONS menu selection.

What drivers are you using for your GF2?

If you swith back from HWT&L to D3D, does the problem go away?

That would indeed remove 50% of the balaclava's wool content.

lol, ussualy when i have graphics probs i alt tab out and back in. but OFP uses DX if u been switching that would definatly be the prob, switch back and 90% chance it would work again.

Looks like a lack of Z-buffer precision. Either turn on the W-buffer or go back to 32bit color depth.

Failing that it could be the balaclava polycount has been reduced so it doesn't fit properly anymore. Tweak settings upwards until the glitches go away.

When I read about switching to 16-bit graphics in the OFP tweaking guide, I knew it would cause trouble.

By the way, there are a couple of other things in the guide that make absolutely no sense.

i think switching to HW T&L was a good idea though smile.gif considered i havent got the fastest cpu and not all that much RAM. but 64mb on the VidCard ..

what didnt make sense in the tweak guide if i may ask.

i had no idea about all the settings so i thought it was at least usefull to get an explanation what all the single things are acctually doing.
