cartier90 0 Posted July 7, 2009 I would like to open some of the official and user upload missions into the editor and learn from them. I have struggled and struggled with the editor since OFP and remember being able to look at the placement of units of the official missions in the editor. Is this possible ? froggyluv 2136 Posted July 7, 2009 First you have to de-pbo them then place the folder into your document/arma2/missions. Tools are widely available over at Armaholic etc...
cartier90 0 Posted July 7, 2009 nice 1, thought there was an easy way...
kylania 568 Posted July 7, 2009 It's quite easy. Download Kegetys' ArmA Tools, run cpbo once, then from that point on just double click a pbo file to extract it to a folder you can open in the Editor. You'll want to move cpbo.exe to a folder where you don't move it though.

Tennouheika 10 Posted July 8, 2009 Glad I saw this thread. I was going to ask the same thing. I was trying to recreate the scenario "Trial By Fire", and stuff wasn't working exactly right. Loaded up the real map and good golly is it packed with stuff happening. Triggers, units sometimes being spawned, etc. Surely I'll get the hang of it? They are actually very very good, give them a go if SP is your thing. I played 1hr patrol last night (time is changeable) and was dropped in by chopper and then HQ gave me goals/tasks like assist another friendly squad to defend a position, ambush a convoy etc etc. This while an enemy gunship was circling overhead and random enemy AI were also patrolling the area. Trying to protect your guys isn't easy.
cartier90 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Dog, your one of the few people who mentioned these....yes I like these a lot, and I get great performance out of them. However, when I die, I have to start the entire patrol again, and as you say they are hard, so respawns are needed...

Durka-Durka 10 Posted September 17, 2009 Hi. I'm trying to click on the cpbo file and all that comes up when I press "yes" is Default pbo icon already exists, not overritten. What am I doing wrong?
