derdoe 10 Posted July 2, 2009 (edited) Hello, i have a big problem. I am running Arma II on a: - Intel Quadcore - Nvidia Geforce 9800GT - 8GB Ram - 750 GB HDD - Vista 64 Bit Home Premium I cannot join any server with signed files check. I have no mods running. I try to connect to a server and get the following message: Connection to server lost. I have no problems to connect to servers without signed file check. When i patched from 1.00 to 1.02 i got some error messages but in the end it said the patch was successfully installed. Can anyone help me? 11aTony 0 Posted July 2, 2009 Well, it would help if you would know what those error messages were. Have you tried reinstalling the game?
derdoe 10 Posted July 2, 2009 (edited) Well, it would help if you would know what those error messages were. Have you tried reinstalling the game? I am just reinstalling the third time now. I hope i can screenshots around in a few minutes. Edit: Here are the screenshots now. The Patch also created TMP files for all pbo's where an error occurred e.g. SOUNDS.PBO.TMP filesize 360 MB. 7 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Redownload the patch using BitTorrent. Are you using Vista? I've had problems with corrupt downloads (HTTP) as well.
.kju 3245 Posted July 5, 2009 Did you run memory test apps?
derdoe 10 Posted July 5, 2009 Well i havent tried the BitTorrent one and also dont know how to run mem tests. And yes i am using Vista.
no use for a name 0 Posted July 5, 2009 I'm not sure about Vista, but Win7 comes with it's own memory diagnostic (you might search thru windows help to see). If Vista doesn't have one, you can use http://www.memtest86.com/
derdoe 10 Posted July 6, 2009 What do i have to look out for when running that programm?
no use for a name 0 Posted July 7, 2009 I haven't run the Win7 one, so I don't know what it says/does if a test fails; but I'm sure it will be pretty obvious. it should run for several hours (let it run overnight when you're sleeping or something). If you get errors it will let you know with red highlighted text telling you where it failed Bottom line is if a test fails, your RAM is bad
