galzohar 31 Posted July 2, 2009 Arma 2 requires a lot of keybindings already, I know, but that is even MORE of a reason to allow us to fully customize ALL key bindings. I should be able to change the command keys away from the F/# keys. I should be able to view player list with a key other than P so I can bind P for reload. I should be able to bind Enter to open chat, without the letting go of the Enter key sending the (usually blank unless I hold Enter) message instantly. I'm sure there are more but this more than illustrates the point. The fact the game has so many keys makes me need it even more, as I need to use every spot on the keyboard to its full effect. Having limitations such as the ones mentioned above makes the control system more annoying/unnatural/hard to get used to/slow to use than it should be. On a side note, better in-game description for what every keybind does would be of great help when making the keybindings, as well as a better full-screen keybinding screen so less scrolling around is needed and actions are easier to find. Dr.Pulp 0 Posted July 2, 2009 Yeah! i really hate that you can't remap the Tab (next target) key to anything except Tab. (You can remap it...but it won't work)
frederf 0 Posted July 2, 2009 Nonsense. I've remapped Next Target to another key. Be aware that there are TWO Next Target keybinds. One is for doing it yourself and one is for ordering your vehicle gunner to do it. It's a shame the both are called Next Target instead of Next Target and Command Next Target. Adjusting the F1-F12 keys would be nice though.
Mc Speedfreak 10 Posted July 3, 2009 uh yeah... my "next target" key is G or a button on my steering wheel... plenty of customisation possible...
galzohar 31 Posted July 3, 2009 The thing that annoys me the most is the "P" in multiplayer. When playing with IJKL it's the "standard" reload button (same as "R" for WASD users). At least for now I put "[" on reload as well since I didn't actually use it as an emergency pistol swap so could unbind it, for obvious reasons :(
