dynamic.zman 10 Posted June 30, 2009 I've been having this problem lately with Arma 2. I don't think the game is running at the correct resolution settings. Every once in a while when I start the game up the menu is fuzzy and unclear, definitely not the resolution I have it set at which is 1280X1024 (19" monitor :/ ). I think this mismatch makes its way into the game because it doesn't seem as clear. I can easily tell the difference when it works because I can see the soldiers face much more clearly on the startup screen, and in game. I've tried opening and closing the game, but today it wouldn't work. Could it be because I have the -nosplash parameter? I am running the Steam version. Also, this also happened with Empire: Total War, but just a game restart and it would fix it. I think it has something to do with Steam, but I could be wrong. Skeptic 10 Posted June 30, 2009 Please take screen shot with FRAPS and post here. Also make sure your desktop resolution, 2d and 3d in Arma all set to the same value.

dynamic.zman 10 Posted July 1, 2009 Yes, mine looks exactly like that too. Except I don't have the white screen. The menu and game are out of focus.
[frl]myke 14 Posted July 1, 2009 Raise the Mipmap Detail Level in the Catalyst Driver. It doens't take much performance so no worry about.
obituary 10 Posted July 1, 2009 If you have an HD capable card and a widescreen monitor, the only way to get rid of the fuzz is to change the resolution to 16:9 and 1920x1080. Unfortunately, that is a huge hit on performance.
dynamic.zman 10 Posted July 1, 2009 Notice how everything is unclear? This is not 1280x1024 This is where it is most noticeable on the interface and menus.
kremator 1065 Posted July 1, 2009 This looks like you have a dodgy language patch ! Or as Myke has said it's your MipMap level.
dynamic.zman 10 Posted July 1, 2009 Myke to the rescue. Thanks so much man, seems to have cleared it up. I've never had a problem like this before in any other game and I've had minimap detail set to high-performance when I switched to my 4870.
