Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted March 11, 2002 The ai will see u better when sprinting. They hear noises and since the breathing is a external sound around your player, they will look that way.
amos m 0 Posted March 11, 2002 Does anyone know if they're still working on the extremely heavy breathing/footsteps/unit movement sounds that can be heard from extrordinary distances bug. I still get that bug, and although it sometimes helps to locate enemies at a distance when sniping, it annoys me.

I suggest you wait for newer drivers or look at Avon's FAQ. BTW, I find that bug to be a feature. It has enhanced my online play by 200%, LOL
Major Fubar 0 Posted March 11, 2002 I like to sprint a soldier until he's breathing like Jack Palance at a porno theatre, then call one of my friends with an answering machine, put the phone up nice and close to my speaker, and leave them a funny lil message. Satchel 0 Posted March 12, 2002 Hmm, i would like to see the standard movement form "running" changed to "walk" movement method by default, with weapon ready to fire. For now even is nothing is going on, your squad is constantly running....kinda makes me nervous seing them running around when on patrol or something, it simply looks wrong- in addition to that it is wrong. AI should change to running or sprinting modes when appropiate, like coming under fire, attacking, retreating etc.... You really have to assume that everyone of them is a triathlete or an aethiopian long distance runner the way they are travelling around.
