wildone_106 10 Posted June 30, 2009 I've had it. I just tried again to get into a MP game and it froze on the little background movie/playback of the carrier before I even got to the MP lobby, what a POS this game truly is. It crashes no matter what tweaks I do, what drivers I use, no difference. Im truly frakkin sick of it. I might try it again in a few years but I doubt it'll even be working then. I've spent 95% of my time with this game loading, receiving, loading, crashing, freezing, re-starting, fixing this & that, trying this and that just to play a game. Enough is enough.

FraG_AU 10 Posted June 30, 2009 Sorry for your probs, but it took me 2 weeks to get the game going fairly well, esp with SLi. I would suggest -> Using 182.5 drivers Ensuring you have updated DirectX perhaps try the -maxmem=2047 flag rename the arma2.exe to crysis.exe It does take some time, and it seems there is no single solution for everyone, but you can get it to perform. thr0tt 12 Posted June 30, 2009 This is what happens when you spend so much time trying to get a game working, it will turn you against it no matter now what patches or fixes come to the rescue. This is why BIS came up with a few patches fairly quickly but alas some folk will still have the major deal breaking issues like screen corruption, crashing, unable to run etc. - This is a minority otherwise there would be many more posts. Do what I did with GTA4, play a bit, get annoyed, leave it till next patch, do it all over again. Or worse still, Alone in the Dark, wow, that was the single most crapiest controlled game ever so much so I had to uninstall it after the 2nd or 3rd scene and actually threw it in the bin. Booga 10 Posted June 30, 2009 @ Wildone, Hey there, what seems to be the problems your having? you have a similar set up to me and I think I have just got mine to run fine (well last night I managed up to 4-5 hrs without any problems). I went on to this thread and done some of the things listed in it. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=73947 1. Go to the EVGA link on this thread and download the SLi update drivers :) 2. I changed my pre-rendered frames to 8 as it says 3. I then went into my config and player profile, changed nothing in the config, but I did change my scene complexity to 160000 from 300000 in the player profile (I thought that was too high for my system). 4. I also changed my rendered resolution to the same as my actual resolution. These changes made the game playable at normal/high settings on my, Q6600 2.4 not OC, 4gb ocz 800mhz, 2x 8800GTS 320mb SLi now thats no power house these days and is still kicking :D
