arthur666 10 Posted June 29, 2009 Hey there, I would like to disable the player's voice, but not the other voices/radio traffic. Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks.
Thirdup 0 Posted June 29, 2009 (edited) I know you can shut it off on the server side. I'm not at home, but I think you can edit your user profile to force voip "off" on the client side. My Documents\ArmA2 admin.ArmA2Profile *suggest making a backup first (open and edit with Notepad) Search for the line containing "voip" and change it to "0" (zero) I'll have a look at this when I get home to confirm, but this should point you in the general direction. *edit: are you talking about actual player voices over the radio or the canned chracter voice? Thirdup 0 Posted June 30, 2009 I don't think so. You can kill all radio comms (and voip in the process) via the audio slider. But I don't think you can filter out just the player-character audio. There is a comms reduction mod (based off the old ArmA "no voices" mod that reduces all comms (but I've not tried the new version yet). I used and liked the old one in ArmA. Damned if I can find the link to it, now :(

Maybe I could create a "null voice" to select that uses blank audio files. I'll look into it, eventually.
