GenghisKhan 10 Posted June 28, 2009 What is with this? everyone once and a while the trees will flash white as if they have snow on them. Then they change back. Really annoying... Any fix for this?
Steakslim 1 Posted June 28, 2009 Might be texture loading. Could be a number of things game side, or in your pc that would result in that, one being your harddrive needing a good defrag. (Yeah I know people just love hearing that)
frederf 0 Posted June 28, 2009 I had all sorts of texture loading issues. People's heads would go untextured/white. New vid drivers and a HDD defrag and call us in the morning is the perscription.
Alex72 1 Posted June 28, 2009 Happens very very seldom to me. Then again my PC is super clean and put together by a pro - me. :D True though. might be drivers, crappy looked after system etc. ARMA2 is hard on hardware and im sure optimizations are coming. Until then i suggest you check your system and clean it and defrag plus also check if you need hardware upgrade. Too little videoram? We dont know as you didnt tell us your system etc. Alex
GenghisKhan 10 Posted June 30, 2009 I just reformatted/clean installed windows the other day so its not my HDD. And it seems like it takes some time for textures to load when playing multiplayer. When I first spawn, there will be big blocks and pylons... Its really annoying.. My system (if it matters) is as follows: Q9550 @ 3.5 Ghz GTX 260 Superclocked Core 216 4Gb OCZ platinum XP 32 bit play at 1920x1080
Steakslim 1 Posted June 30, 2009 ArmA1 is like this. Sometimes the game takes a few seconds to load textures. I've seen it a few times in the ArmA2 demo, though nowhere near as bad as ArmA1 was about it.
Helmut_AUT 0 Posted June 30, 2009 Are you trying to sert Aniso trough your drivers? That causes some "christmas light" effects on trees.
GenghisKhan 10 Posted June 30, 2009 (edited) Are you trying to sert Aniso trough your drivers? That causes some "christmas light" effects on trees. hm. I wasnt trying to, but I went into nvidia CP and noticed it wasnt set to application controlled.. This seems to have fixed it. Thanks. :) The textures still load really slow though... Any way to fix that? Edited June 30, 2009 by GenghisKhan
