hannibal636 11 Posted June 27, 2009 yes. i am running newest patch build.. v102_58134 I CAN NOT PLAY PLAY ARMA2 with triplehead2go It will run at 1680x1050 on one monitor, but when i enable triplehead (4320x900) i get a message saying unable to create graphical engine error message. i am running Vista x64 SP2 8 Gigs of Ram 8800GTS 512 w/ v186.18 nvidia driver Powerdesk Version 2.05 (i had better luck with nvidia v180.48 and powerdesk v2.04) but still gives me the error, if i start messing around with ther other graphics settings On top of the triplehead problem, i have graphic anomolies playing at 1680x1050 where cockpit windows look like static noise, and objects have a polygonish boxes that exist all over the game... (i think this is due to having 8Gigs of RAM or more..) BIS PLZ FIX....

hannibal636 11 Posted July 1, 2009 (edited) have you tried backtracking to an earlier driver version???Might be worth trying 182.50 I went back to 182.50 nvidia driver with powerdesk 2.04 (182.50 will not work PROPERLY with latest powerdesk 2.05) Triplehead2GO is BONKED WITH ARMA2 even with 182.50....! works fine for me with single screen. Gone Native 10 Posted July 7, 2009 I had ArmA 2 in 1.01 nicely up and running with a Matrox TH2G in a 5040 x 1050 resolution. After applying Patch 1.02 build 58134 I got the infamous message "Error creating direct3d 9 graphical engine". I did the usual troubleshooting: -winxp parameter; removing config files; lowering memory in msconfig to 3070. To no avail. I did a rollback to version 1.01 and the ArmA 2 was running ok again. Looks like Patch 1.02 build 58134 doesn't like Matrox TripleHeads2Go. Also there might be a difference between the normal (<= 3840 x 1024) TH2G resolutions and the widescreen TH2G resolutions (up to 5040 x 1050, only with nVidia 200 series graphic cards, like the GTX 280 or 285). Is anybody out there with a TH2G who has it up and running with Patch 1.02 build 58134 ? And in what resolution ?
vaaf_rup 0 Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) Same issues. 9800GTX+ Q6600 TH2G Digitial 3x 1680x1050 screens Win7 RC 64bit 6GB RAM Works fine on single 1680x1050. Dog's breakfast when trying to do triplehead modes, fullscreen or windowed. Latest drivers on everything as of yesterday when I rebuilt my rig. bushlurker 46 Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) I can't speak for actual TH2G units, but 12:3 triplehead itself seems OK with the latest patch... I run triplehead using Kegetys SoftTH (significant FPS hit, but TH2G doesn't like my portrait mode side monitors)... It works fine in ArmA... worked fine with my Deutsch 1.0 and 1.01... Now, I'm not sure if this is significant, but - from patch 1.02 TH doesn't automatically "kick in" when I boot - I need to <alt/tab> to desktop and back... then the drivers seem to "take" and it works OK - sometimes this needs redone after changes in Video Options as well... Additionally, since 1.02 I've started getting grief with Fraps - only sometimes... Arma2 will crash with the usual Windows info popup - announcing a fault in module "fraps.exe" I suspect DX9 conflicts... SoftTH works via modified DXD9.dll and throwing stuff around in backbuffers - this crazy new "3D resolution/fillrate" stuff is throwing stuff around in backbuffers - Fraps is just the icing on the DX tombstone sometimes... Anyhow - sorry if this hasn't been much help... triplehead IS still in there and working - mostly - alt/tab has been my saviour in that regard - but theres definitely some problems been introduced with the new patch, and my money is on this secondary rendering/dual resolutions/multiple backbuffer/whatever stuff being the cause..... thales100 10 Posted July 19, 2009 Edit the ArmA2.cfg file at C:\Users\Home\Documents\ArmA 2 to launch the game using 3840x1024 as resolution (i changed it to "read only" after doing it) and change in the game menu, video options, to run at 5040x1050 or 4320x900 - then play (as long as you keep the .cfg file as read only all you have to do is remember to set the res to 5040x1050 or 4320x900 each time you load up Arma 2). Resolution_W=3840; Resolution_H=1024;

Yukazu 10 Posted July 20, 2009 I tried it now. It functions well. I can play by a version 1.02. Thank you thales100.
Gone Native 10 Posted July 20, 2009 (edited) The solution offered by thales100 also worked for me. I can play now 1.02 in 5040x1050 TH2G widescreen resolution. Looks like Patch 1.02 supports up to the highest "old" TH2G resolution of 3840x1024, and not the "new" TH2G resolutions up to 5040x1050. Thank you thales100 :) Edited July 20, 2009 by Gone Native
