Razor Two woes

So everything is going fine without any real bugs, till I get the castel ruins by Vyschnoye. I grab the evidence and kill the snipers then the game freezes and won't respond. I have hit ctrl atl del to get out and close form windoes taks manager.

I restart the mission, went to Solinichny instead, went to the Quarry, killed 3 Chedaki and, lo and behold, the game froze again and wouldn't respond. I'm guessing there's some kind of trigger problem going on maybe?

I've got the UK 505 game patched to 1.02. You guys got any help? I was really enjoying this mission as well, kind like an RPG quest format.

Hmmm, I've never had the mission freeze on me and I spent most of yesterday pulling my hair out on this mission until I finally cracked it this morning.

I wonder if it's a graphics card or memory subsystem problem. Are you overclocked, is it hot where you are?

I know with all the bells and whistles turned on it gives the CPU and GPU a good workout. My GPU reached 41C yesterday and I'm custom high end watercooled.

Well my Q9300 Quad is not OC'd, is running at 58c for core 1 65c core 2 64c core 3 and 54c core 4. It is a pretty hot day. GPU is a geforce 8800gt 1mb and is running at 52c.

On the warm side, but not enough to cause a lockup I wouldn't have thought. I ran Intel Burn Test stability checking on my old Q9450 at 3.6GHz on the stock cooler up to 70C with no issue.

Maybe memory subsystem (RAM or Northbridge/chipset) getting a bit too toasty. Try it with the case open or when it's cooler and see if it makes a difference.

I can't think what else it could be. A problem with the game would have caused a crash to desktop in Vista/Win 7. Are you running XP, that might be less likely to recover if the game fell over?

I'm running Vista, and I'm getting a program compatabilty error from windows Problems Reports and Solutions.

I've got exactly the same problem. The game freezes just after I pick up the map case on the bench next to the tent in the castle in Vyshnoye. To get to the castle, I'd gone through all the red x's on the map in order (Marines-Empty camp-Photo camp), then to Vishnoye to chat to the dude there, then up to the farm south of Vishnoye to chat to the bloke there, then on to the castle.

Suspecting the game, I reverted back to the start of the mission, started playing again doing the tasks in a different order. This time I went to the quarry, the Red x enemy camp with the photo's, then down into Staroye, boycotting the castle at Vyshnoye entirely. I got as far as defending the village, and it freezes again halfway through defending the barn. This makes me think it's a trigger problem.

For me at least, this is definitely NOT a hardware problem. I've monitored all the temps on my rig whilst playing and none got close to their limits. All latest drivers and updates obviously installed, including patch 1.02 (need you even ask?!). To make absolutely sure I rolled back my OC to stock speeds and tested, same problem. The game freezes. My computer does not freeze however, I can Ctrl-Alt-Del out of the game and use my system normally. No error messages, no memory dumps, no BSODs. The game just freezes.

In summary, it's a problem with the game, not my set up. I've tried to approach the mission from two different angles, every time it freezes in the same spot.

Anyone fixed this or worked it out? Cos it's P*SS*NG ME OFF!!

Can someone please tell me how to even use the chopper? I can get my men into it alright but I can't get the damned thing to take off!
