POTS 0 Posted June 24, 2009 (edited) After the revived awareness of hackers attempting to slander against BIStudio, illegaly modify BIStudio property, damage or illegaly mess with server property using BIStudio games, and possibly threaten players property. I ask all BIStudio fans and players to politely e-mail the BKA asking them to increase awareness of these illegal activities involving (most likely) German hackers based in Germany. Go to this link (put it in google to try and translate it if you have to) and find "contact" in German. It will take you to a page explaining the rules of e-mailing and a e-mail link. http://www.bka.de/ This is the first step to reduce cyber crime against BIStudio and its fans. We may expand this defensive operation to other countries if we have to. Try to have something related to hackers and BIStudio as the subject. Please do not remove this thread. I'm only doing this because I care about BIStudio and the games they make. I want to play them without the annoyance of hackers. I need this method of communication in order to make this happen. Also, posters please limit spam and negativity on this thread. Remember, they may not listen to one, but if we all do it, we may have a chance. EDIT: Make sure you try and send the e-mail in German. Balschoiw 0 Posted June 24, 2009 I guess the nature of the system does not support actions like that. Actually only BIS themselves can enforce legal actions. The BKA as other governmental institutions only act if criminal actions are conducted and actual proofable is reported to police. A mass mail like the one intended above is no jurisdictial matter and therefore simply will have no effect at all.
POTS 0 Posted June 24, 2009 I'm just asking them to increase awareness. There is no reason not to ask them.
NoRailgunner 0 Posted June 24, 2009 1. How old are you? 2. Do you really think that any national investigative police agency will act on fan mass-emails = spam from fanboys of a game? 3. BIS is a company that probably knows how to take legal actions against criminals - no need to call the MiB, Czech Sercret Service or any other agency. 4. Big Brother is watching you! Enjoy the game. :)
