Can't get Arma 2 to run :(

Recommended Posts

Hi

Just been out and purchased arma 2 this evening and installed it and ran the update from 1.1 to 1.2 but im just getting a blank screen with mouse cursor after the initial splash screen, any ideas? All drivers are up to date and as are windows updates

Thanks in advance for any advice

I think arma had similar problems running with vista64 and more than 3gig memory not sure what the fix is though other than try taking a stick of memory out or maybe try the -maxmem line in the command prompt

Create ArmA2.exe shortcut if you dont have one on your desktop and edit it

by right clicking it and then click properties and then in the target line you will have something like this

"x:\....\ArmA2\arma2.exe" -maxmem=2048 -nosplash

-nosplash gets rid of the splashscreens at the start of the game.

and try that

thanks for that, unfortunately it made no difference, i might try a fresh install

It should look like this, just edit the program path if needed!

"C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\arma2.exe" -maxmem=2048
