In Arma1 the IC -Tournament that runs weekly reached iirc 128-ish?

"Co-op versus" is an oxymoron. Co-op implies all players fighting on the same team against the AI. You could definitely get 50 people on a server, but the amount of AI you'd need in such a large-scale mission would likely tax server and clients alike to the extreme.

I think "counter-coop" would be the more fitting term, although it really is just a variant of "King of the Hill". Still tons of fun. :D
