Lucan946 10 Posted June 6, 2009 Hi. I'm having a problem with upgrading to patch 1.16. I already have BattleEye installed and am running 1.14. I also have 1.15. Whenever I start to install, it finishes extracting and then says "ARMA Is not present on this computer/is damaged." I legally downloaded ARMA: Combat Operations from a site (I do not recall its name, but its that site that once you download something, it saves it for you on your profile so you can DL again if something happens to the first dl.) Now, I am downloading this straight from the Wiki page. Does that matter? Is there an American only version? If so, where could I find it? Thanks for your help, Lucan946
hamis 0 Posted June 7, 2009 I think you should read the readme.Rename/delete "beta" folder and try again.
Lucan946 10 Posted June 7, 2009 (edited) I think you should read the readme.Rename/delete "beta" folder and try again. Now I feel like an ass. Thanks, going to go see if this works. EDIT: Wait, I'm confused. Some of the sources say I need 1.14, some say I need 1.08. Which one is it? I just tried it again and it didn't work. Would I have to reinstall, then patch to 1.08, then get 1.16, then get 1.14? Edited June 7, 2009 by Lucan946
Planck 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Your game proper should be patched to version 1.14. When you install the 1.16 beta patch it goes in its own mod folder called 'beta'. To run the 1.16 beta patch you should start the game from the shortcut that was created for it in the games root folder or make your own shortcut to run the .exe in the 'beta' folder. You can still run the game proper by starting the game with your normal 1.14 shortcut or you can elect to use the 1.16 shortcut to run the beta patch instead. Removing the 1.16 beta patch is simple, just delete the 'beta' folder. Planck

It finishes the extracting phase and then tells me that "Armed Assualt is not installed on your computer or your instilation is corrupt."
Planck 1 Posted June 8, 2009 Check if you have a beta folder in your ArmA root folder, if so, delete it, then try again to install 1.16. This is presuming you do have ArmA at version 1.14 already installed. Planck

Planck I do. I renamed the Beta folder to 1.15. Is that not good enough?
Lucan946 10 Posted June 12, 2009 Yeah no. It didn't work. I removed 1.15 but it still gave me that error.
maxter 10 Posted June 12, 2009 Have you tried redownloading the patch? It might be corrupt.
