Shotguns -a bit of a cop out?

I'm sure many were excited to hear military shotguns coming in Armed Assault 2; however, it is somewhat of a let down that the only ammo they come with (slugs) pretty well nullify the sort of expectations people had of them; Will any further ammo types be coming in the near future? Buckshot was scriptable in Armed Assault, I don't see why it wasn't featured here as well.

Of course, for all I know in the field slugs could be the only ammo type considered in shotguns in a military context, but then this is somewhat against the grain when shotguns are promised and only given slugs, as if they were somewhat of an improvement over OFP/Arma offerings of this elusive weapon type

To be honest I was a bit disappointed in the slug exclusive shotguns as well. They're just powerful short range rifles with a small magazine. Buckshot would have at least made them fun and useful in hunting.
