I saw it in the stores this week here in North America. Is it me or has the PC games boxes gotten smaller, more compact just recently? What used to be normal size of PC Games boxes of, say, late last year are now being sold in this pocket-book size boxes. My UK version of OFP that I got last July came in a DVD case, is that where's the future of PC game boxes going?

First C&C was cool, because there were not much games like that at that time even if the AI was terrible. Second C&C: still the same graphics confused.gif and STILL terrible AI...

Third C&C: changed but still ugly graphic and the AI, take a guess mad.gif

From that time on I decided to buy no more C&C games or Westwood games in general. That`s sad. A long time ago they designed great games like Dune or Lands of Lore. Nice games with stunning cutscenes at that time smile.gif

The game is fun, its an interesting concept and it could be great.

But problems with installing, choppy gameplay and crappy videos make sure its a horrible experience most of the time. The fact that it does not even look that good adds to that. Sounds, well, scary. The assaultrifle sounds like an old sewing machine and the only weapon that even sounds like it has a punch is the sniper rifle, which has a pathetic sight by the way.

Go check their forums, under technical issues. More than 50% of the players are having install and choppy gameplay issues and that with systems ranging over a wide spread.

Command & Conquer is alright, if your a C&C fan.

They really really blew it with the demo.

The lagg and the Dedicated servers get better in the full game. Yes yes I bought the game lol. No regrets... Cept... i shoulda gotten that harddrive instead.

Yea, but like i said only get it if your a big C&C fan and still play those original games. I pretty muched moved on to bigger and better things than clicking on pixels and moving them around a "so called map". yea i got bored with that once they came out with awsome FPS, Delta Force, Deus Ex, Max Payne, Progect IGI, OFP, Half Life... and so on... i got em all...

i got the originals too lol, Quake and duke nukem 3D haha old games i will never go back to hehe

The old FPS are famous, but today they make my eyes sick. I tried to play Doom again last year, but I couldn`t stand the graphic wink.gif

There were also great shareware FPS at this time. Anyone remembers Quarantine? A cab FPS. You could drive customers and shoot enemies with guns mounted to your hover cab.

I loved that tounge.gif

My first chopper sim was LHX. Blocky graphic but the cool thing that I liked was the fact that you could be wounded and get blackouts while flying or you could die of your injuries still in the air. I miss that in the new flight sims, except B17...

smile.gif I like renegade. I played the laggy demo first and liked it very much. I bought the game and finished the campaign which had much action. I think the game look nice. There are better looking games, but it's great nonetheless. Multiplayer is nice also, i played it last weekend non-stop. I had almost no lag, and they are still improving the game with patches. Soon they will release 2 multiplayer map where you can fly the orca and a apache helicopter from C&C. I never played the srategy games, but the 3d-game has much action in the levels and so i like it.

If you don't already know them try the two Battlezone games. The first ones kind of dated but still fun. No2 holds up well. They may not have the C+C universe but they really do capture the first person action and the strategy / resource aspect all wrapped up in one very tasty package.

I like the graphics. They are not bad at all. There are better, i know but it's not that bad. The gameplay is good. Lot's of action, i felt like i was in the middle of a war. You know, choppers flying, dropping units like crazy etc. Tanks driving A10 performing airstrikes on targets. Very nice. It's not OFP, but i like it nonetheless. At least you can JOIN A GAME IN PROGRESS tounge.giftounge.giftounge.gif

That is not true. In single player this cannot happen, only at the easy mode. And in multiplayer you stand no chance alone against the base. Not even with a mammoth tank when the opposite team works together (which happens in contrast to OFP).

There is no recoil, i agree. But it's in the future, so maybe they have found something for it. In Deus Ex you had recoil, but you could upgrade your gun to minimize it. Deus Ex BTW is the best game ever.

So there.

If you don't like it, ok. It's your opinion. But when somebody liked the demo version, he will love the game as it gets only better.
