blackgrain 0 Posted May 14, 2009 Hello!! First... sorry for my english.. :( I have a question. I searched about something (may be a mod) which make the night in Arma less... dark.. Really... in hours of deep night, the visibility was absolutely zero.. I know... I can use night vision goggles :p ... but... despite that... anyone has any news about this?... a mod make the dark of the night less dark??... Thanks!! celery 8 Posted May 14, 2009 Moonless nights can be surprisingly dark if you're far from metropolitan areas that cast background light into the sky. If you're having problems, I suggest that you raise your brightness or gamma.
boneboys 0 Posted May 14, 2009 Choose a date that is near to the full moon, add a little fog and the problem is solved. Thats one way of doing it.

mr reality 0 Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) I hate the complete darkness that is in ArmA. I tested the Ai out in the editor, and i found that it does not affect the sight of the AI. I couldn't see my own weapon but i was shot by an AI from over 100 metres away who had no NV. Remember that mission in CWC. The one where your an A10 pilot and you get shot down and have to escape back to safety. Well try doing that mission in ArmA, you wont be able to because you wouldn't be able to navigate through the trees. This is one aspect of reality that doesn't need to be ingame. You simply can't play ArmA at night if your not equpied with NV. Edited May 14, 2009 by Mr Reality
Aqu 0 Posted May 14, 2009 What's wrong with that? If you don't like dark nights, don't play missions which happen nighttime w/o moon or star light. That's a different thing if AI can see unnaturally well (should get fixed) To improve your sight at night, turn off all light sources in your room (except the monitor) and let your eyes get used to the darkness. Any lights lower your ability to see dark colors. If you try to see the dark game environment from your fully lighted room...now that's unnatural! Unfortunately especially old TFT screens are bit sucky to show dark colors. ...or use the age old trick to turn up your color brightness which I find bit cheating.
