wld427 1705 Posted September 13, 2008 having an issue with a model donated to project RACS. The textures do not show n the model??? I have checked the path over and over again and all is as it shuld be. Is it possible the model has textures disabled? If so how do i turn this off? thanks Eddie
[aps]gnat 28 Posted September 13, 2008 Textures an odd size? like 1026 ? When you double click the texture name in the list section of O2, does it show you the texture?
rip31st 98 Posted September 13, 2008 I ran into a problem with a vehicle I made a while ago. When you were in pilot view some of the faces wouldn't display after they were textured even though they were the same ones copied from the first LOD. All the paths were fine. I refaced them and still ended up with the same problem. I eventually scrapped that model. Wonder if it was data corruption.
wld427 1705 Posted September 13, 2008 Gnat @ Sep. 13 2008,04:11)]Textures an odd size? like 1026 ?When you double click the texture name in the list section of O2, does it show you the texture? yes. the texture even opens with textview and works jsut fine. I have also applied the texture to a similar model and it functions perfectly. So i know the issue is not the texture.
Synide 0 Posted September 13, 2008 You say the textures do not show on the model... is this when you view it in Buldozer or in-game? does the texture mapping in O2PE map to a .tga? If so, are you able to open this .tga in TexView2 and then save it out as a .paa? And, then are you able to open this .paa with TexView2? If the above works fine with the texture then that's all good. The reason I ask this is that you 'should' have .tga specified as the primary textures in the development mlod p3dm model. When you preview the LOD in Buldozer, O2PE will automatically initiate a conversion of the appropriate .tga's over to .paa format so that Buldozer can display them. 2nd., check that you do not have 'Hide Textures' enabled under the Buldozer menu. Also, make sure that Buldozer Menu>Selection Masking>Disable Masking is enabled. If you then try making a .pbo and including this model and you neglect or decide that you do not want to binarize the model then you have to manually change the primary texture mappings from .tga to .paa. If on the other hand you do binarize the model then you can leave the primary texture mappings as .tga. They will automatically get converted to .paa during binarization. [aps]gnat 28 Posted September 13, 2008 yes. the texture even opens with textview and works jsut fine. No, I said O2. When you double click on a texture path/name in O2 it should pop up a window showing you the whole texture.

bravo 6 0 Posted January 5, 2009 <s>May i use this thread to expose my issue: Im making a model in O2, a bridge, 4 times bigger then the original one from Bis, all textures appear in O2 buldozer, but when i open visitor3 and open buldozer the model is all grey, not a single texture. I checked and rechecked the paths.. they are correct. anyone have an ideia or explanation for this issue?! its really strange edit: ah and ingame the model is all grey</s> i remove the question.
