Best Island Creator Tutorial?

Recommended Posts

I want to create a small Island with 1 city and 1 town, about the size of Porto. Would someone be kind enough to direct me to a tutorial on how to do this?

Also, how long would creating something that small take? I appreciate your responses in advance.

try here:

VISITOR 3 QUICK TUTORIAL

About the second question, its relative.. it depends on the knowledge you have on the field.

After you understand all steps and control the smallest and little details it can be fast. Though i must say a good work in the end takes time.

Everytime I import my terrain into Visitor, it doesn't show up until I figured out I had to select "Show Shadows" and that's not in the tutorial. When I try to go into Bulldozer it says the Shaders are not Valid (Mismatch of exe and data?)

The problem with your tutorial is that it uses Windows XP. Some things without Vista are very different. For example, I cannot extract the following files as there is no new function. Yes, I have cpbo..

following files:

•

Buildings.pbo

•

Misc.pbo

•

Plants.pbo

•

Rocks.pbo

I can at least connect to Buldozer now.

Any more updated tutorials?

Basically, I want to create a small Snowy Island, but the tutorials are a bit too confusing. I'd love links to as many tutorials as I can get. As most of them haven't worked for me technically.

Most of them are outdated too and only work with XP, not explaining things with Vista.
