=Spetsnaz= 0 Posted May 7, 2008 i get this alot mostly on the 1.08 patch and i have ati radeon x1900xt 512mb pci-e card? anyone else have the same problem?
Chris Death 0 Posted May 9, 2008 hmm let me guess: ati3duag.dll you got an ATI graphics card Blue Screen of Death usually indicates faulty hardware or driver. Have you ever tried a google search with that error? Well, i did and there are popping up lots of links showing this error in relation to lots of different games. Some inner voice tells me that your BSOD has nothing to do with ArmA. ~S~ CD
=Spetsnaz= 0 Posted May 9, 2008 oh yep it is only with ArmA, since i ever got ArmA its the only been happening on ArmA, ive had this PC for nearly for 2 years and i play 4+ hours on it a day and i gurantee that ive played, Oblivion,BF2,COD4,Medal of Honor Airborne,WoW,Guild Wars and many many other games and never have recieved a BSOD with over 3000 hours on gaming. ArmA is the only game that is extremely buggy for me and i only get alot of errors and etc. Yes i have done a search on google and i also downloaded the .dll and it put it in my graphics card driver and the problem still persists. 1.12 has now reduced the BSOD for some reason i mostly get the BSOD on 1.08 and read the log that they fixed it with the 1.12 patch but i still have gotten it once or twice but not its rare on 1.12 but it still happens quite a few times on 1.08 :S
Chris Death 0 Posted May 9, 2008 Well then do a googlesearch on Blue screen of Death and have a read at the BSOD wiki to convince yourself that the BSOD comes from what i mentioned already above. The BSOD happens to you only in ArmA, because none of the other games did touch the faulty zone. Ya know it's like a person who cannot swim. As long as this person doesn't go into deep waters, he will not sink - but if the low water is full and he needs to go further: blubb blubb blubb Just because you have exchanged the dll file doesn't mean that you should have fixed the problem. It just can tell you (if the error still exists), that the dll file itself wasn't the problem. There are lots of other components in your pc which can cause those troubles, but i doubt that the game developers can help you out here. I'd take a look into a hardware forum or summit like that. Lots of guys there usually do know way more than any of those who sold you your pc. ~S~ CD
Dwarden 1125 Posted May 9, 2008 what drivers? what OS? what SP? also if there is minidump (usually C:\Windows\Minidump\ ) then please send it to AMD.ATI and BIS support btw. in some instances the BSOD could be triggered by overheating card or faulty GPU/memory ... if You already tested the card underclocked to possible minimum and ideally exchanged for same but different card then it's most likely game or driver ...
