With parade I mean marching, drilling if you'd like to call it. It's a way of discipline and keeping morale, especially when marching to combat.

I'll remember that one for next time i'm on Ex.

May I ask what the "safety procedures" part of your training involves, soon as no weapons in ArmA that i'm aware of contain a safety catch, change lever, cocking handle, etc.

It's also part of ND (Neglecting Discharge), accidentally firing your weapon.

ND is "Negligent Discharge".

"Are you <number> <rank> <name> of <regiment>?

Did you, on <date> so handle the self-loading rifle as to

cause it to be discharged without the order to do so being

given?"

I recall that "the 23rd" actually did implement safety catches

on rifles. Are you doing that too?

Thank you for the explanation of the name. I agree that Delta

company and Dog company sound far too American in this

context (Dog Company even sounds like some sort of

mercenary unit).

I never noticed the Dutch tricolour in the logo until you

mentioned it.

As I recall the safeties that were put on the rifles by Q ( Questor ) were buggy with AI in that if they tried to fire at an enemy the game would crash as all it was is a default firing mode with no bullets and no magazines you can find in game.

I don't know how far that got developed past the first 23rd Addon pack but then again I wasn't around after I handed command to Q.
