Sheps 0 Posted March 6, 2008 I just wanted to have a quick look at how many of you respect the words of the BBC, in comparisons to your "fox networks" and your "CNNs" with their generally biased view that always have the reporters put their own spin on things. I always found the BBC to be in the grey, not white or black, and generally just told us the stories, such as " a man murdered a woman " whereas if it were the same story on CNN you'd hear something like " A beast of a man mutilates a beautiful woman in a horrific act ". I bring this up, because i have recently lost a lot of respect for them, since they have jumped on the currently British fad of the "white mans plight", bringing up every reason why "foreigners" (and by rule of elimination, every non white British born person) have it so much easier then the British White Working Class male. Bringing up all these topics of how the White British male is last on the list, yet the plight of the minority which was received from the majority white populace only ever seems to be talked about as if it stopped happening 40 years ago, thats if it ever happened at all. At first i didn't mind, but this ignorance is just going to far, it was ok when the Right Wing media news papers such as the Sun started it, but now the BBC? It just creates racist views in peoples mind and gives them a reason to be so. Not to mention every person who believes this crap is driven to vote for the BNP. I can't wait to move to America, i really cant, i love my country to death, but it seems that multiculturalism is a big threat to the white populace now. I love the history of my country, i was born and raised here, but for now its not a good place to be, maybe in 10 years i can return, where either this whining has changed, or non whites and foreigners are barred from the country all together, it wouldn't surprise me if the latter were the case. Mr_Tea 0 Posted March 6, 2008 I don`t give that much on anything the media says. Because of that i use many diverse media channels over Astra digital, and the i-net too of course. You often find interesting stories, that not even seems to get noticed by the BBC or others. But don`t expect it to be any better in the states, it is the same as anywhere. Someone owns the channel or the paper, and writers that write stuff he don`t like, might get kicked and be replaced with another writer.

So you share the same concerns as many working class white guys like myself but feel that anyone who doubts that multiculturalism is all rainbows and goodfood is a racist? Im worried, im worried for my country and what the government is doing to it...Being concerned about keeping face has nothing to do with Racism.
Rhodite 3 Posted March 6, 2008 On the question regarding the BBC, they used to be regarded as a high quality impartial news agency. Clearly in recent years there opinions feature in the news more than the facts which for me is quite irritating. I personally dont give a damn what reporter A thinks I want to know the facts or as best they can. I also get the hint from time to time that there is a a political motive to some of their reporting but mostly Ithink that would be again down to the individual reporter and hisor her views on said issue. In short I dislike the recent trend in reporting opinion as opposed to reporting the news.

'Audience participation' has it's places,.. but the news isn't one of them!
