PVP 2 Sided Evolution

Hi....just played 3.9 and i didnt have the problems you mentioned Deus. I think the west overpowered force is fixed because i have played for abot 1 hour and no AI,West or East, captured any town , but there were heavy fights in whole Corazol. One bug I found was that when i purchased the MG Truck with the rifle(dont know if this is the exact name) it only apears the parachute and the Ammo crate came down in flames.....all other vehicles ,till I was Captain ,were Ok.

I didnt have time to capture any town so i will test it tomorrow.

One question....what means manpower system??? Why is it useful??

I think you are getting closer to the final product......A masterpiece of mission!

Sounds like lag issues, may have to revert to an older release.  Code test fine on my machine on local and ded server 1.08/1.11b.  Will have to strip some of the code as this has gone away from a large scenario with little lag.

3.9a replaced 3.9. Ai disable caused too much lag and was removed. New town takeover map info retained for 3.9a.

I've been playing on a local and dedicated 1.12 could be the problem - if AI gets stuck in any map I have found its SLX vehicles which has been freezing the AI on the spot after a short while (only on a dedicated server)

I just played 3.9a for 2 times and again the West side takes control of East Corazol in 5 minutes. All of east Ai troops went out of East Corazol red area ,marching in column to capture West Corazol and only left 3 Ai soldiers plus me and my Ai soldier in East Corazol, so when West soldiers arrived from all directions they captured East Corazol very easy.

Another thing i noticed was that Valor wasnt taken from East side. I am playing right now and going to see what happend next....maybe we recaptured east Corazol again.

Again.....what does Manpower means?huh.gif

That didn't happen for me. I went 30 - 35 minutes with stacked AI squad and the fight for Corozal was still on.

The teams generate manpower based on towns, in order to generate town ai, rienforcements and airstrikes, the teams draw from available manpower.

This scenario is designed to generate random results and will never be exactly the same twice.

Only issue I see, is that when you are solo, (solo meaning no other human players), there isn't any enemy or friendly vehicles, especially tanks, involved in the fight.

Also I have two questions:

1. Is there a way to facilitate where the carpet airstrikes go, say in the support phone?

2. Is there a way to recruit soldiers and hand them off to another squad, or generate (Recruit) a high ranking AI officer and equip them with squads and send them off to battle?

I just blitzkrieged this map in 30 minutes. Without a player vs. player situation, it was pretty easy. Final tally on manpower was an absurd 1125 to -127

Deus, you were playing on the East or West side, because i played on the East alone(without any other human player) and it was very difficult to take west towns.

I´m going to play tonight again and will report what happend.

Was playing West. Most of my "conquest" was with two medics and one MG Stryker.

Ok, I finished a pretty major fix, as some of the basic functions where not running properly. 3.9b is released on my site, and has fixed takeover problems for the east side and has improved the infantry assault.

Same issue I had with initial 3.9 release: Nobody would spawn, just get stuck on parachute. MG Hmmv wouldn't accompany the parachute either. I played as Engineer.

Hi.....just played 3.9b for about 40 minutes in the East side and i noticed that west didnt take East Corazol.......good work.....but i noticed that the airstrike in east and west Corazol were every 2 minutes. When i stopped playing, the airstrikes continues every 2 minutes.

Then i´ve tried a mission and ordened a Low level heli insertion but we (me and my AI platoon) appears away from base near the beach with an empty helicopter near us and i could fly it, but according my rank i couldnt.

Then i fly were the mission take place and my helicopter was damaged and i died but my platoon were only injured.

Then i ordened again a low level insertion and the bug repeated (appear away from base near beach) and my platoon appears very healthy too (but they were 10000 miles away and were injured)....weird problem.....didnt have it in older versions.

Ahh... and the jeep with a mounted gun (dont know the exact name) didnt appear when i ordened in the purchased vehicle option, only his parachute...this bug was in 3.8 too.

Another bug that were in older version (dont know if it still there in 3.9b) was that sometimes when i recruit soldiers, it only appears his parachute but not the soldier and my money was reduced.

ArmA, I had the same issues except as noted above nobody spawned. I figured the AI recruit bug was linked to the non-animated paratroopers, but it appears I was wrong on that and it is indeed a bug.

just played 3.9c and the small verson too, but only 10 minutes each (here is 2.30 in the morning....and im tired) and have found that the heli insertion bug disapear.

I will continue testing later.......

Here are a few quicky's noted on 3.9c:

Commander East side.

Score 40

1st: MG UAZ does not drop from menu, only the parashoot.

2nd: Gren UAZ Spawns a Gren Soldier on fire but he seems to survive it and land just standing there.

3rd: Lots and I mean LOTS! of empty parashoots over Corazol west capture point. Some have units but allot have nothing.

4th: Air strikes seem two come twice for every one marked on the map.

5th: We took Corazol West but the inner circle remained blue and the west kept attacking Corazol East with Air strikes.

6th: low level chopper insertion, I got the following error:

7th: basic chopper insertion, gave the following error:

8th: Menu's close button fires the weapon held some times.

9th: Ai recruites take possitions of existing units and makes it unstable, you can't drop unit's from your squad. IE: Let's say no 2 dies now you have 3 and 4 left so you call for a soldier to replace 2, when the new 2 spawns in his parashoot, he takes 3's possition in the parashoot and when he lands is assigned to 2 and 3 is just missing but still alive and following me.

10th: Had a friend join the server and sellected Spectate, he then could not move after exiting spectating and only got to move as a civilian. but on west and east sides he just goes into spectate mode and can't exit it.

11th: I went to lobby and stayed as commander and rejoined to try and fix my squad, Then I had 6 units in my squad on rejoining and they all reported dead but then I noticed the capture points had disapeard and I was left with only Corazol East and west for my side, and the west side had also only two.

Right thats as far as we tested and now the server is getting players so I had to switch the mission to something playable.

Release is the small version btw, a full island version is very easy to release. Modders please contact for help in mod versions, the mission is component based and is easily modified ie movement of objectives/changing of ai employment/changing vehicles with addons etc. A unified script now controls all in game vehicles.
