csj 0 Posted January 23, 2008 I would think that AI only 'see' the 'zamerny' point or maybe a centre of gravity point of the model.
rstratton 0 Posted January 23, 2008 i have some objects which the ai can walk thru and see thru, what do i need to do to the models to fix those issues?
csj 0 Posted January 23, 2008 send them over and I will have a look at them.
rstratton 0 Posted January 23, 2008 they are from the la samula island if you have it. they are the large rusty pipes that u can walk thru
csj 0 Posted January 23, 2008 No worries - I will have a look
csj 0 Posted January 23, 2008 Are these the pipes in question, it's all I found after a few minutes looking. You prob's with the rig as well. -- open geo lod >structure>topology>find components and then structure>topology>convexity>component convex hull this will stop ppl from walking thru structure. dmarkwick 261 Posted January 23, 2008 is the view geometry what the ai sees? The view geometry is what blocks the AI view, so they cannot see anything that is obscured by view geometry, or is inside view geometry. It may also be what the AI "sees" also, although I am less certain of this. A soldier who is partially obscured by other view geometry will be seen, but a soldier who is partially intersecting other view geometry (as in a smoke viewblock object, something I've worked with) will not be seen unless he is no longer intersecting it. My best guess is that if the center point of your object is inside another view geometry then it's fully obscured.
