ShooterSix 0 Posted January 15, 2008 When playing the single mission Commander, I always get a crap three red X score, very frustrating. I might lose just one man, in a 14-15 man squad, and get several kills. I need a good score to unlock the last single mission. Any ideas? This happen to you? ShooterSix 0 Posted January 16, 2008 Thanks for the tip on unlocking the missions, I'll do that shortly. But yeah, how does scoring work?
Wolfrug 0 Posted January 16, 2008 Score = rating. Rating can be found out by, surprise, surprise, the command rating, and can manually be changed by the missionmaker using the addRating command. Rating natively changes only when you kill enemies (to the positive), when your teammates die (to the negative) or when you kill friendlies (more negative). A rating below a certain number will, as you've noticed, make you renegade (sideEnemy) and hated by all. This is what happens if you start blowing up your squad. As to the crosses: each missionmaker can in the description.ext put these lines (in this case copied from the Commander mission:) Quote[/b] ]minScore=2000;avgScore=5000; maxScore=16000; These generally decide how many "stars" or "red crosses" you'll get. A campaign maker can use a built-in system to decide to punish/reward the player in case of too many consecutive bad ratings in missions (this can be seen in the official CWC campaign in OFP). However, I'm not entirely sure how the stars and crosses exactly compute, but I'm guessing having a score below 2000 will give you max crosses, having above 16000 will give you full stars. And such.
