Armstrong 0 Posted February 26, 2002 Hi I'm new here and I like to say OFP is a Great game (and I think most of you agree! well anyway I keep hearing something about a certain OFP: Lost Independance. What is it? an expansion?, mission editor?, or new game modes or a totally different war? I've heard about Resistance too but I already know that. amos m 0 Posted February 27, 2002 I think there has been a miscommunication somewhere, or perhaps someone is just plain bullshitting. That's the second site I've seen showing stuff about IL that has those same screenies of carriers and stuff saying that IL is about the east timor crisis. But the official site says that IL is based on another russian island near the malden islands. Someone's got their wires crossed. I think that these screenies are from vbs. Although these items all look lovely, and I'm sure we'd all appreciate having them, I don't think we're gonna be getting our hands on them any time soon, if at all. You mix up different things, OFP Resistance and Independence Lost. It is clearly stated by BIS that IL is not the Expansion anounced for 22nd June 2002, what we know today is OFP Resistance. amos m 0 Posted February 27, 2002 OK. So obviously I am the one with crossed wires. I didn't realise that there were two addons in the works. I heard about IL a couple of days ago. Today when I check back I see a link to "Resistance". I thought it was the same thing. I just checked and realised, then rushed back here as fast as my 56k cyber legs would carry me to delete my message b4 anyone read it, but alas, it is already too late.
