recoill 0 Posted December 21, 2007 Like many i enjoy using the 360 controller for flying and driving in Armed Assault, but find the drivers that Microsoft released rather limited. The Microsoft drivers map the triggers to the same axis (Z+,Z-) which pretty much makes them useless, also you can't adjust the dead zone of the sticks or button, trigger, and axis thresholds. XBCD is a free open source driver which allows you to load different profiles for your 360 controller. You can have separate axis for each trigger, have the triggers as digital buttons or customize the buttons and sticks to your liking. Installation is quick and easy, updating over the Microsoft drivers then selecting a profile in the XBCD setup . XBCD can be downloaded here XBCD Download Controller profiles can be downloaded here (located underneath the Choose One From Below heading) Controller profiles and a handy install guide can be found here. ziiip 1 Posted December 21, 2007 Is there any way to connect a wireless controller to a PC without buying any accessory?
Placebo 29 Posted December 21, 2007 Wireless controllers of any kind need a receiver, I'd assume that the MS controller only works with the MS receiver......
