i wasnt saying whta speed limit was. whatever it is in any country its the speed "LIMIT" meaning that is the maximum speed u should be doing not the minimum i.e doing 30 or 25 whatever is the limit for ur country is maybe ok on streets with no driveways on them and kids playing, whereas in these areas the speed should be reduced. but just becuase its 30 mph doesnt mean to say u should be as high a speed as that.

And kids also have to spend time away from their parents, i wonder how many folk who replied to this thread actually have children. You cant watch them 24/7 they have to socially interact outside with other children in order for them to grow up well in society. If a child is never away from mum and dads side then generally with what i see is that the child becomes spoiled.

I agree kids should be old enough to play outside on their own if they are

1. understand the dangers of the road and cars

2. can understand the need for wobbles chinese meals

On the Autobahn there are parts where there is no speed-limit. But of course there are also parts where you need to go 130 Km/h or even less.

Now we got the stupid socialist parties ruling in Germany and they dont only ruin the country they also want to give us a speed-limit.

I used to live in place where you could run around with firends on street, but now that i'm in a city, can't see other kids here doing that... what a shame

I dont know about in other countries.. but if you going the speed limit (or under) and someone runs out in front of you and gets hit tis THEIR fault..  you cant expect people to creep along everywhere just because som idiot might decide to blindly fly out in the middle of the road.. its insane...  I could have turned that kid into hamburger and as long as it was decided that I was not speeding 100% of the blame would rest with the parents... after the speed limit is there for a reason.. its 30.. not 20.. if it was decided that people need to go 20 they would have made it 20.. not 30... I was 100% within the law.. and poor parenting and dumb kids do not make it my fault.

here is another example..  I was driving in a crowded parking lot one time.. I was waiging to pull out of one of the lanes and the car in a parking space next to me just started pulling out.. slowly slowly.. BUMP!  he hit me.. then he had the guall to try and tell me its partially my fault because "I didnt do anything to warn him"

I told him tough shit, and thanks for the new door his insurace will be buying me...
