Known as the Battle of Passchendaele (1917) aka First, Second and Third Battle of Ypres.

In this battle, British, ANZAC, Canadian and South African units engaged the Imperial German Army (West Flanders, Belgium).

Ok, was quite busy (RL  banghead.gif  ) these days, but

@ HxCxFxL : thank you for the links, that's nice. By the way, i'm working on a Gas mask system, hope it'll work. Then, we'll just need a decent lag free script to simulate the gas effects. Some help is welcome (as always) for that script. I'm not a bad scripter, but some others are much better...

@ Anzac : look in this thread (second page), there is all what you need to know to install correctly last Ofp Vilas packs. As you'll see, it's not that easy...Maybe you'll have to look on Vilas website too, I don't remember exactly.

Look here

Vilas site (scroll down for Ofp things...)

Still no answer from him to repack WW1 weapons from his pack, we'll try again to reach him.

To all interested in Vilas packs which includes WWI soldiers & weaponry. Vilas deleted the most of ofp content from his page, he became ashamed with his ofp works. Of course ofp fans are thinking about versatility of his packs and their further use in their modifications.

Here`s link to topic containing his recent(the last one) relases:

Clicky!

I believe most downoad locations are still alive. If not, we will manage to refresh them.

I wery hope, we can see this mod in new year! xmas_o.gif .

I like theme of WW-1, in OFP this period of war history not presentation, for my great dissapointed... pistols.gif

Must use in role of soldiers WW-1 units from many anothers modifications.

Especially like the trenches war, create for his defending line.

These are very good, i especially liked the second one.

N1 - def. line like "breastwork" with MG pill-boxes, foxholes and obserwation posts. Wire line - i create his TOO STRONG...no body can not teke it. So, is pikture - only picture.

N2 - functional position. Wire line can be destroyed, trenches wery reality...

Wire - from Cheh Mod, trenches - from Finnish Mod, version about WW-2.

N3 - full funktionality defence of riwer coast. Line from "infantry stronghold points" with lond wire-line.

Now i losted my "french" soldiers... mad_o.gif

When installing some addons, this group (AIA French army) losted functionality.... help.gif

Japans infantry - also "dead".

Hi,

back from holidays, some pictures of gas masks (you can put it on and off through action menu)

ww1gas1va1.jpg

And :

ww1gas2uk4.jpg

@Igor101AD : no release date planned, no campaign is planned but i hope some will occur after the release. Probably some demo missions will be included.

@Inman : nice pictures, my primary intention is to create a players friendly map, with no "trench built as an object" which cannot be crossed by soldiers. And then of course my map will not be realistic cause the trenches will be "WRP built", so much too big and much too wide (OFP limitation), BUT playable. Of course everyone is welcome to create its own WW1 map, i'll be pleased to release it with this mod.

At the moment i've created a map with a very long WRP trench (several hundreds of meters), a no man's land in front of it (with craters, destroyed houses and dead trees). The trench itself is protected by OFP sandbags and barbwires (with some "free" ways so that AI can still attack it), inside the trench are some modified OFP sandbags fortress and wood walls (to "fill" it cause it is quite wide), and there are MG positions on the other side of the trench, which are very deadly. I'll put another trench on the other side of the No man's land, and maybe some "communications" trenches and rear trenches. It's quite fun to play with it (attack under MG fire and artillery barrage, then some fights into the trench), but not realistic.

If someone can provide me with players' friendly "trenches as object", i'll be very pleased to use them. But attacking a trench that cannot be crossed by AI is not fun.

Wow ProfTournesol, those gasmask are nice! Thats a shame that You won't make any mission/campaign confused_o.gif . Will it include any WWI tanks?

Thanks guys.

@Igor101AD : no i won't cause making a campaign is very time consuming, which i cannot afford anymore. But once the addons will be out, anyone will be able to release some missions.

About tanks, i'm concentrating on infantry but if tanks are wanted, i will need help, i won't make them from scratch on my own. Considering the numerous WW1 mods that appeared then disappeared, maybe some models are existing here or there...i'll need some artillery models too, and maybe some cars / trucks...

Looks great!

I just hope it'll be possible to see through a script whether an unit has gas mask on or off, so they'll be more than just for looks in a gas attack script. Of course, the script will lag on large scale missions, but I'm thinking of a smaller scale (at least for the defence side) mission, with the player (defensive) getting under a gas attack before the actual offensive.

Hope you've got great holidays biggrin_o.gif

Quote[/b] ]great job guys carnt wait for it smile_o.gif i have a stack of unfinshed ww1 stuff u guys can have even a mk1 tank

Anzac said this, you could ask him for the unfinished work, I hope so, I would do some models but the last thing what I've did, you know ProfTournesol, was in the House Divided mod, I've fixed the cowboys who had their Hats in the body and not on the head (don't be angry HD mod it was for my personal pleasure), and for that I've needed more than a couple of days banghead.gif
