JKH 0 Posted February 25, 2002 I am no mission editor by any stretch so I would not even know the feasability of my question but, has anyone thought of or tried to reconstruct a scenario similar to how the Somalia raid went down in Black Hawk Down? If its a do-able thing, it might be a pretty cool single mission, or even a campaign Just a though...........
Lt_Damage 0 Posted February 25, 2002 Sounds pretty awesome, a mission you can't win.

JKH 0 Posted February 25, 2002 well sure anything sounds bad when you look at it like that , just switch mindset from seek and capture to a rescue then you could conceivably set some victory conditions (you know like just stay alive and get back to base ) ah well it was just an idea
jerry 0 Posted February 26, 2002 good idea, i may have heard it about 20 times before, but nice idea.
Challenger3 0 Posted February 26, 2002 Finally I've been able to get back on here! I'm working on Black Hawk Down Missions at the moment, its coming along pretty well, but its a far cry from the novel, more like an ofp 'interpretation' of BHD. Its impossible to simulate the events in exactly the same way, for one adding enough buildings would kill even the fastest of PCs! Furthermore the AI is far to accurate, however its coming along nicely, with actual text from the novel, crashing helos, and lots of somalis! It will require Zwandar's desert Malden, The delta force addon, and TJP's MH-60 DAP addon, I'm also considering a normal version, but we'll have to see! JKH 0 Posted February 27, 2002 cool deal, sounds like a great mission design your working on. For a bit there I thought I was kinda floundering on a limb with that one. I can't wait to give it a shot! Good Luck with it, obviously you are far more skilled than I when it comes to the technical aspect of it.
