I currently have the ac'97 chip on an ASUS board. Using the latest 4in1 drivers. save my money?

maybe a dumb question but I was hoping for some opinions before I spent the money is a separate sound card that much of an improvement over an onboard sound chip that it is worth the cost or are the sounds, quantity and quality, not that noticeable? any feedback is appreciated

I went to the Mozmans site and saw that the campaign is completed. I was not able to download it due to a bad url. is anyone else aware of this or tried getting this campaign to download?
