dmarkwick 261 Posted November 7, 2007 ..for O2? I'm having no luck whatsoever endlessly farting around trying to texture something for example. Loading textures only to be told "no texture has been loaded". Selecting some meaninglessly named menu choice and have the view pane go black. Stuff like that. The manual is little use other than as a pure reference. It doesn't tell me how to use the features.
dmarkwick 261 Posted November 7, 2007 OK, turns out you cannot texture from .paa files, which is odd as it's what .p3d files use and in fact O2 converts them over when saving. You got to use a .tga file or something. Y'see, it's stuff like this.
Chris Young 3 Posted November 7, 2007 It is possible to texture from a paa but it needs a little trick if you are using the old version of Oxygen 2 (the RC2 I think). This little bug should be corrected in the latest version included in the BI Tool Pack RC 3.
Panda-PL- 0 Posted November 7, 2007 You need to set the DLL directory to your old O2 directory (yes, one from OFP) or any other directory you put these Dll-s.
Chris Young 3 Posted November 7, 2007 Or to put the old DLLs in the new folder, but it's better to download the new version I think.
