Hedu 0 Posted November 2, 2007 I want to get rid of it/them. I have the Atari version of ArmaA. Can it be done? Also, what is the best way to inspect my custom face in game? Just want to look at myself to see if the face looks right.
LT.Schaffer 0 Posted November 2, 2007 1.right click on your game icon-goto properties-shortcut tab then type -nosplash so it would be .exe" -nosplash 2.for your face go to the editor place yourself and an AI under your command then go to firstperson view/ hold + on the number pad and push del on the number pad to go into close up command view then rotate around with mouse. jasono 0 Posted November 2, 2007 With -nosplash alone, you will still have to wait a while for the game to load the island in the background intro of the GUI. Try: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">-nosplash -world=none Edit : Why has this been posted in Addons & Mods: Complete? Q1184 0 Posted November 2, 2007 I think a better way to take a look at your custom face ingame is to place a unit (AI) in the editor and put this in the init line: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">this setface "custom" The guy will have your custom face and you may check it out from any angle and distance. manzilla 1 Posted November 2, 2007 Why has this been posted here? Hmmm... Lets see. 1 total post, joined Oct. 2007. Could it be that he doesn't have the experience on the forums? Just a hunch though. Hedu, I realize "Joined: Oct 2007" often doesn't mean one is new to the forums. I'm a perfect example of one who's been around since the beginning but had to make a new profile out of necessity after a prolonged absence, among other reasons. So forgive me if you aren't new and already know about this. In my opinion, you should look at using an ArmA launcher instead of the vanilla shortcut. Then use the modfolder method instead of "throwing" dl'd addons in the games AddOns folder. It makes organization of user made addons and mods much easier. Also, with the launcher one simply needs to check the skip splash screen in the options. Here is a link to the launcher I use, among others as well. Brought to us by Kegety: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=410 There may be others that I'm not aware of. If so, I apologize to the creators of those launchers for not including a link to yours. What, and doesn’t understand that his post could have gone into 'General' or 'Troubleshooting' and that he is in fact not mentioning news about any kind of 'Addon' or 'Mod' let alone a Complete 'Addon' or 'Mod'? I see your point...
