COD like combat in Arma 2

Recommended Posts

Yeah I thought that too buts it's definitely a step in the right direction and they have over a year to compliment it with a nice suppression system.

What would complement this well was a cover animation system too, where they (and we) could shoot over objects and duck behind them, like Vietcong's smile_o.gif .

Spoock found these nice videos of ARMA 2 in which AI is leaning and using cover

See I told you it was possible but no one believed me.

Try to contain your excitement there crazy_o.gif

You were demanding it's implementation in Arma and maybe just maybe that was not possible. None of us know the full capabilties and limitations of either Arma or Arma 2 but my bet is on the one they've been working on longer in terms of fufilling my Next-Gen expectations.

Ah, a very nice video. This looks very promising. There is still a lot work to be done, including making to movement of the AI look more natural. But BIS are certainly on the right track there. I stay tuned smile_o.gif
