Get rid of bobbing head animation

Recommended Posts

Will the next patch from BI get rid of the annoying head bobble? The soldier looks like those weeble heads that you put on car dashes that bob around when the car moves. The same effect is the same as when a soldier is running but not sprinting. It just looks really un natural and weird. When I run my head doesnt bob up and down. Not only that the soldiers head is too much angled to the front, like the hunchback. though this might be a trival aspect though probably something that will get over looked.

You mean the "bobble' when he's walking leisurely along or

the uppy-downy bounce when they're jogging along?

At first I liked the ArmA anims because they were a quantum

leap improvement over the stiff-legged, arthritic, "I've just

shit a boulder" OFP walking anims, but I do sometimes think

that the bouncy jogging anim they chose looks a

bit "cartoony" - especially with a whole formation doing it

together.

And no, I doubt very much they'll change it.

Hopefully once the fully-articulated source models (not to mention an animation tool (though current OFP tools can be used, its just the source model we lack AFAIK), are released, I'm sure someone will be making replacement animation packs, just as several groups did for OFP (Sanctuary's numerous animation replacements come to mind - I hope he works on ArmA animations too).

Amen to that...

At this present time I can only dream about how good ArmA can be, but how long it will take depends on how long i'm willing to wait.

Total conversions like XAM 1.3 and chammys sound mod do help.... thumbs-up.gif
