Server Performance

So from what I'm reading with all this it looks like JIP is the main problem.

So How plausable would it be to be able to 'Lock' a server after so far into the game?

eg JIP upto Corazol, or even before, but then Locked server.

Is there any way to do this?

Could be a short term fix, or an option serverside for the Evo mod.

But anyway, you set Maxbandwitdh to about 60-70% of max capacity and MinBandwitdh to 20-30% of max capacity.

Increasing this value can decrease lag on high upload bandwidth servers.

Default: 128

What would happen if you set this close to your MTU on your system. somewhere around 1500. If you got an 20 Mbits up and download for your server, woulden't that help or will it be to much work for the CPU?? Or is this as wrong as it can get!!
