European Tactical Force server warning

I want to warn about the European Tactical Force server, tagged -eutf- Coop Public.

Admins there seems to be loose cannons, apparently liking to blame innocent, very recently respawned (after a long mission) people for shooting at them (why would a M9 pistol against a Abrams matter anyway if it were us shooting, since that was what we had?), then TK them and kick them from the server.

Way to go to lose players, EUTF. The server seemed pretty nice until not a random arse went loose, but the people running the place did.

I urge people to boycott them to help create a nicer environment to play in.

Someone starts shooting a pistol, only new players have pistols. Sounds like they made an educated guess as to who was doing something they shouldnt. Cause, if you came into a server I was running and started shooting your pistol for no reason, I would ban you, not kick you. So I guess you could say we would be in agreement to you boycotting the server.

calling for a boycott is rediculous since its your choice to not rejoin again. I dont know who they are but it sounds like a server I would liike to play in.

Some admins just like to show their power to boost their self-confidence and authority that they don't possess otherwise. Or then they're just really, really dumb. I know a couple of other clans with uptight admins but I show my power by choosing not to tell who they are.

NO, what I am saying is your thread is assinine. If you got kicked and feel it was wrong then take it up with the server admin. To post this here calling for a boycott without contacting them shows your immaturity. Ever consider that you were ruining the game for them by your behavior? Most Coops call for cordination, and all im saying is I bet if you asked them first they would explain why they kicked you. Heck, they may even apologize if you explain what happened.

But to post this without going to them first tells me a great many things already. So I suggest you go through the proper channels first before whining on a public forum that has no control over individual (privately funded I might add) servers.

I was a little suprised when reading this thread as we usually try to hold gameplay on a professional and mature level on the ArmA server of the european tactical forces where me is part of the admin team which is formed by about 10 people.

It is hard for me to say something about the kick as I was not present when it happened and I must admit that the information provided by Inkompetent does not provide sufficient information for a statement a.t.m except that shooting with an M9 at an M1A1 (this is not BF2) does no harm but can be pretty annoying without any use and is not very smart.

Server admin on a public ArmA server can be stressy depending on the type of players joining in and most of us are always happy when it is possible to play seriously without having to kick or ban anybody from the server - that is our motivation for hosting a public server. Concerning admins may take wrong decisions on a bad day which happened to me too I wonder that a simple kick was that irritating to open this thread instead of getting in contact with us or just avoid that server.

In case you (Inkompetent) are still interested in discussing the kick I suggest you contact me by P.M. and I will try to talk to the admin (we have no admin with the name random arse) who kicked you - on the other hand our preferences for playing that game seem to be very different.
