Untouchab1e 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Well, im kinda working on my first ever mod for Armed Assault! Its based on ViconX's great textures, with an added Norwegian twist. So far, i havent done much, except adding some norwegian badges, etc.. Screenshots here I know I probably have to change the entire uniforms to make them authentic to the Norwegian ones.. but all in due time! Cheers!
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted May 10, 2007 Are you familliar with the Norwegian units freddern made? ISAF: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....t=56740 Woodland: http://www.flashpoint1985.com/cgi-bin....11;st=0 I'm not suggesting you stop working on yours just because some others exist; you could obviously end up making some better units, I was curious as to why you started with german units as a basis rather than some existing Norwegian troops. Untouchab1e 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Well, I just discovered them myself. Didnt know they existed. However, personally, the reason I started out with the german units is due to the fact that they are really well done, and in my opinion looks better then many other out there. How it looks in terms of quality compared to the existing units, I dont know. Still, I find it cool to make something myself Cheers!
plasman 0 Posted May 10, 2007 Well, I just discovered them myself. Didnt know they existed. A good way to find what has been done before is to check Stavanger's Armed Assault Addonlist (above) Maybe you could do the Norvegian desert uniform (just a suggestion)
topas 1 Posted May 10, 2007 Hi First of all; good job on the camo pattern; looks really nice- although I would suggest working a liitle more on the badges and patches; No offence but they should blend in more in my opinion; as they are now they look like photoshopped into the screens. Play with saturation, add some really minor noise to simulate the texture of the material they're made of. You'll be pleased with effects and have surely fun while trying Cheers and keep it up!
