LT.INSTG8R 0 Posted April 27, 2007 It is good to see you over here looking into it. I hope while your at it you may take a look at Crossfire as well as there is no performance gains from it at this point.

I hope while your at it you may take a look at Crossfire as well as there is no performance gains from it at this point. i add my vote there ... especially since NVIDIA aded SLI profile for ArmA not to mention there will be lot of new crossfire users with this fantastic low price tag on upcoming AMD.ATI HD X2900XT card edit: p.s. and i forgot to mention to get ArmA supported within EATM
bravo 6 0 Posted May 8, 2007 so.. is this case forgoten, closed or what? Does anyone know if we might have any considerable fix for this situation? yesterday i was playing Evolution on a french server. It was incredible fluid. It looked like a new game. I was impressed! After one or two hours the game started to look laggy, my clan mate didn't notice any difference from start. But i did. so i resolved to take a look at my handle leak by alt tabing.. ... the handle leak was 220.440! My specs are: Pentium 4, 3.0Ghz (not oc) Ram 1,5G ddr 400 (1*1G + 1*512mb) Board: abit ai 7 (updated to version 19) Radeon Sapphire X1950 PRO 512mb DDR3 (not oc) HD 250G Power Supply 550w im running arma version 1.055 beta the handle leak still remains as we all know, but will it be like this for the future patches? Will i be able to play arma normally without buying new computer? Im sure these handle leaks are destroying the fun of this incredible game for alot of people. People take their judgement about the game, and they don't even know they have handle leaks on ARMA. I know it was reported, as mentioned before. But for me the case looks forgoten. As if the responsables (who ever they are) don't care about this issue. So for we had drivers updated but useless for this issue. Understand my position: i upgrade my computer as many other people so we could play ARMA without problems. But i still have this problem, and i can't do much to improve my situation. Comon give me a break.. 220.440 handle leaks!!!

ATI makes a new driver available every month right? When is the next driver due? Not sure, maybe this problem is more serious and complexed then it seems. I sent my ticket already.. ticket number is #737-1226207 @dwarden, i also sent the 01Mini050207_01.dmp file that i got in my minidump folder.. maybe it gives any info. Though im glad that they are working on a fix.. My apperant shutdowns might be caused by these extreme handle leaks. Waiting for any word from AMD.ATI staff

I'll wait and see. edit 2: Looks like its solved in my case.
