jkandjdk 0 Posted April 8, 2007 I can't wait until Armed Assault is available in the US, but I want to know from someone that has the game already if my computer is fast enough to play it. I have a 2.8 processor, 2.5 ghz RAM, nvidea fxgeforce 6200 256 video card. I appreciate any input you might have.
Le++ 0 Posted April 8, 2007 Sorry to disappoint, but probably not, and if it will run that it won't run well. The CPU and memory look fine (I have a 3ghz Pentium4 and 1gb RAM), but the 6200 ain't gonna cut it. Still, I haven't tried it, so it might run... Anyone has this rig and tried? jkandjdk 0 Posted April 8, 2007 my next question would be, if the demo works good, will the full game be the same. i'm almost finished downloading the demo now.
Maddmatt 1 Posted April 8, 2007 The full game has had updates since the demo, so performance should be better. By the way, the demo sucks compared to the full game.
opteryx 1562 Posted April 8, 2007 By the way, the demo sucks compared to the full game. That's rather a mild understatement.....

Set everything VERY LOW bar Texture Filter normal. Looks a bit poo but should run smooth. Keep shadows and AA/blood OFF. A 7600 can run most of that at meduim at 1024x768. to see it looking sexy like some screengrabs here you need a 7900 or 1950 basically if you want to run it at 1024x768 or more. Procesor and ram are good, its the video card is slow.
abs 2 Posted April 8, 2007 I just tried running the ArmA demo on an old laptop (for laughs, since I really didn't expect it to run), and it did. Granted, it ran a little choppy, but I can still do decently in a CTI in a tank, etc. My specs: 1.6G Centrino processor 512 RAM 64MB GeForce FX 5200 go (Clearly I'm not much of a hardware man) Abs
Jack-UK 0 Posted April 8, 2007 Well basically, as the other say. It SHOULD run, but expect to run it on minimal settings and with occassional choppyness in urban areas/heavy foilage. If you want to get more from the game, upgrade your GFX card I upgraded my card to an X1950 PRO from a Radeon 9550 and it made the world of difference. My CPU is also crap and i only have 1 GB RAM. So basically, live with a low setting + choppy graphics or upgrade your graphics and acheive better visuals + smoother gameplay
