Infam0us 10 Posted April 3, 2007 Might be a bit drastic but maybe a reinstall of Windows might do it if it annoys you that much to go and try it?

Dudester 0 Posted April 6, 2007 Make sure your computer is detecting all of your 2 gig of ram. Try reinstall your graphics card and drivers. Also try disabling your sound to rule that out been an issue.
PsySniper 0 Posted April 6, 2007 @bionic yeah i see that post but i dont have any of the things they were talking about... @Dudester. yeah my computer def knows there is 2 gigs of ram. iv re-installed the graf drivers and updated them. about the sound... what do you mean by that. im using an onbord sound card. if thats what you mean :P
Infam0us 10 Posted April 6, 2007 Just curious PsySniper, why would reinstalling XP not solve this problem? Its a last solution and a drastic one sure ... but it's likely to solve most problems

If its an Upgrade CD you might have some problems. I'm not sure entirely but you may need a previous version of Windows disc as its an "upgrade" version hence why they sell them so cheap. I had the same problem but found another Disc. Worth a try anyway, best bet is to boot from the CD itself (Can be done in BIOS) and then delete the partition XP is currently on (Obviously backing up important data as it will ALL go) Then making a new partition and install Windows, Install Updates and away you go PS - If you run into any problems, or want to ask questions please do ... I've done this a few times and once you get over the initial shock its well worth it!
