Campaign. What should it be like?

Recommended Posts

All of the above except new vehicles and addons. That is, if they're relevant sure, put them in but if not, then who cares.

It's the atmosphere, the story and playing it out and becoming part of it.

If multilevel scenario means dynamic mission paths, even more so. Your successes and failures will determine what lies ahead. This was used only once unfortunately in the 1985 campaign.

That's not true. You're misreading poll results. The poll isn't about whether music is important or not. It's about what's most important.

Obviously, from everything listed, music is at the bottom of the totem pole. However, that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be included. Download some of the mission here that contain music and see how "inspirational" they can be.

It's the icing on the cake!

Story is definitely the most important part of campanign !

But remember, you have to justify the actions taken ie. player has to want bad to do things put in front of him !!

It doesn't mean you have to be on the "good side". You can play the "bad guy" too, that's just as fun..

As can be seen in "PMC Fury" missions don't have to be complex to work with good story (though some of PMC missions were a little bit boring..)

IMO missions shouldn't be too realistic. What I mean is people want action and in real life war is at most part waiting for something to happen.

For conclusion, I'd say give player a possibility to make a difference.. if you see what I mean..

Thats true smile.gif We cant to make very realistic missions. There is no respawn in real life wink.gif and game limits our actions... But we can make very approached to real life missions. How? Simply. We have to count all possible evets and accordingly count logic. And I'm sure: we must give a FREEDOM to player. I think thats obligatory condition.

IMHO a nice story + reallistic missions = Great Gameplay.

Cutscenes are nice, but not essential as they are skipped the second time I see them. Therefore I prefer working on the mission (gameplay) instead of the cutscenes. smile.gif

-just my opinion tho.

smile.gif May be

But all depends on gamers skill... I know one guy, who can coplete any mission...

We did for him SPECIALLY IMPRACTICABLE missions, and he passed them.

So it not a condition for good gameplay, i think wink.gif

P.S. May be you think: WHAT THE HELL IS HE WANTS FROM US wink.gif

I explain: I make marketing research wink.gif I should know what the gamer wants.

A campaign without a good story line is just a collection of single missions.

I think the story and the missions are equally important, and should go together.
