I downloaded the mission before, might be able to take a look at it if still necessary.

What's the actual problem with it? Can't see it from the recent replies.

Evenin' W0lle.

Bennie, maybe W0lle should take a look at that mission for ye,as

he suggested. An experienced member would be of more help.

To the best of my knowledge, the briefing you now have,

is the exact same one I downloaded.

I didn't knowingly attempt to alter it.I wouldn't be that cheeky.

I only tried to correct what wasn't functioning with regard to

triggers.

But if I somehow did manage to mess up the briefing,I apologize.

Anyway,I'm sure you'll be back on track soon.

Macser.

I found nothing wrong with the briefing, apart from one or two spelling errors.

The only issue is that it's called 'briefing.english.html', instead of 'briefing.html' which is used by default for the english speaking.

But as far as I remember this shouldn't be of any problem. The real problem is that the objectives in the briefing are not shown, guess that's what he meant with 'what happened to my briefing? ' tounge2.gif

So far I noticed one problem with a trigger which has no condition anymore.

Overall there's a lof of space for improvements in the mission. wink_o.gif

that is what i mean, yes

how do i combine the triggers/objectives with the objectives in the briefing?

i aslo have planning to create; a inspection made by an HIGH raking officer(cuba?) and a group with speztnats(bodygaurds) and maybe they will kill the pilot if the rescue team doesn't kill the russians first....

but i am an noob who is experimenting and could use alot of help

BUT thanks to ALL who has replied and help me thumbs-up.gif

this one of the tutorials i have studied http://www.opflash.org/mission_tutorials.php

Hi bennie1983nl

In addition to the tutorials which you have found from http://www.opflash.org/, be sure to head over to http://www.ofpec.com/ and read all of the Mission Editing tutorials in the Editors Depot. Also take a look at their forum, there is quite a lot of mission editing information in there.

Baddo, i know that site but i am not member of that forum ....

BUT

I still need to know how to combine the objectives in the briefing with those in the game / editor...

i have learned alot of things

but i was wondering how to I set a trigger for this objective; ALL your team members have to survive! no friendly members dead...

this have i learned of the "pilot" objective west->men->Pilot

name of pilot PD

trigger

Type: Loose Text: Pilot Killed condition: not(alive pd) On Activation: "2" objstatus "failed"

what must i typ in "condition" ?

the name of the Black Ops are d1, d2 to d5

Quote[/b] ]but i am an noob who is experimenting and could use alot of help

That I though by myself after I finished the mission almost alone in less then 10 minutes. biggrin_o.gif

Bugs I noticed:

- The objectives are not shown (fixed that already)

- The Pilot has not joined the team after the village is clear

- The chopper returns too early for pickup

- Mission doesn't end at all

Suggestions for the next version:

- Add 2 Markers (for insertion and extraction point)

- Make the player the leader of the group (AI is just too plain stupid)

- The insertion point is too near to Morton, it's impossible no one there doesn't notice that big helicopter

bennie I gonna add you on msn soon and we work on it there. Like I said above there is a lot of room for improvements and you'll be surprised what else can be added wink_o.gif

Hmmm, possibly you're looking at the mission available for

download W0lle?Instead of the edited version.Which I E-mailed

to Bennie.

The main trigger in town has:

<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">

"1" objstatus "done";"2" objstatus "done";[Dp] join d1;obj1=true

So the pilot should join up with the group leader, when

all enemies inside the trigger zone are gone.

I also put text hints in each trigger as an indication they were

being activated.

You're right about player as team leader.

Just check to see if you're both talking about the same

version of the mission.

Hmm I indeed had an older version then. huh.gif

However I just had bennie on msn and sent him my edited mission which most probably should work ok for the moment.

Tomorrow we know if he likes it.

Hello again W0lle.

Thought that might be the case.

but it doesn't really matter who sorts it.

Point is,it's being sorted.

After all, that's what this place is all about.

Exchangin' ideas,solvin' problems n helpin'

people out.

How ya doin Bennie?

Here's a link to something you might find useful.

The program's called "Chris's OFP script editor"(It's not just for scripting).

http://www.ofpec.com/ed_depot/tools.php

It uses "wizards" to help you create your own briefings and

overviews.It's pretty user friendly too.

Try it out.
