Hi,

I have the latest version downloaded from your site but I have one of the game versions with the messed up headers and would rather not try testing this on my dedicated live server until I am more familiar with it here.

Can the dedicated server be installed separately and used as a test for this?

As a feature request could you please include a small sample mission / template that would help in testing the installation and showcase some of its features?

I was well into the hair pulling before I found your thread regarding the Morphicon / Sprocket versions.

Well I don't know why but I was thinking the US dedicated server version was available for download server but I can't seem to find it so am making plans to purchase. How goes the work on this and will there be a sample mission available?

Digging up the dead but a lil gift for everyone in the not to far off future. Putting all my time into the data project now and ditched the remote admin tool. You will love what i have in store for everyone.

I didn't read all of former posts, but want to add my 2 cents:

Conquering the whole island is something that needs to have an end and that's not the point of having a persistent server imo.

When i think of my fav persistent server coop mission i see a neverending campaign that takes players to random places and missions all over the island and let them return to the homebase afterwards.

Maybe there should be cities in the middle between north and south that can be conquered by a side, but some of the cities to the North and South should be so heavily defended (and constantly get reinforcements by air) so they can never be conquered.

So basically the whole island is just 1 big battlefield where reinforcements are brought in from both sides out of nowhere. You can't 'win' the whole war, all the players do are single missions. Events like getting shot down in a heli can lead to interesting side missions, like Search&Rescue missions.

The shotdown chopper is in place on mine. Depending on the status dynamic missions get created to go and rescue the crew along with recover the vehicle if possible. None of them exist in any form until something causes the need. So far i have several things happening. The enemy also get missions to recover, kill or take the crew hostage. If your too hurt you could surrender to them in hopes someone will rescue you (working somewhat).

Town re-inforcements (Towns are limited and nothing just appears guns,ammo,vehicles and people are a resource that are limited). So you need to bring them from other locations with it. AI backup and defend the towns and if they run out of ammo they will try to locate dead units and take ammo (units also run around and collect items and put them into the towns pools). If there are huge losses and they lack the ability everyone will just scatter everywhere and retreat to close towns or call in evac's.

Anything that becomes a mission over time will have AI take over if no human players take it. Though it depends on what is going on.
