Varry 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Tried to have an AI fly the cobra while i was a gunner. It is impossible to make him hold still and hoover!! Even with auto hoover on, giving him the 'stop' command when he reached his waypoint, he still carries on. And when he spots an enemy unit, he flies over it, orders me to switch to ffar and target that unit, ok it seems, except he flown over it, carries on flying away, with the enemy target at our 6!!! Waht i don't understand is, AI could manage aircrafts, wthout a problem in ofp, so why do they suck at it so badly in ARMA???

Cato 0 Posted February 26, 2007 ive noticed this in genral with al vehicles in the games even apc's when ordered to drives to a particular place, they drive either real slow and/or swerve all over the place and take forever. great game other than that, this never seemed to happen in OFP, well not as much. Zarele 0 Posted February 26, 2007 Maybee a bit of topic but: why do ai in choppers never ingage enemys? If i put a AH6 or cobra against a squad of men the just simply hoover over the like a big bulls-eye. Howcome?

TOOMSKI2000 0 Posted February 27, 2007 i believe some of the choppers in Arma are only set to engage vehicles and not infantry if that helps you out ?
