Looking for help with this one ! system specs : p4 3 ghz 2gb ddr400 ram ati x1950 pro ati drivers 6.14 sound blaster audigy 2 intillimouse optical Just re-installed windows ( XP pro service pack 2 ) and only installed graphics drivers, mouse and sound card and of course a fresh clean copy of arma that i updated to version 1.5 ( UK copy ) and when i play the game EVERYTHING works fine, sound, weapons, graphics etc but when i try to get into ANY vehicle whether online or in the editor the game crashes to desktop and shows up a smallish blue square that has no info, text etc in it and only says arma when you place the mouse cursor over it. i am at a loss to this as i have had no trouble with the same setup not even 24hrs before ( happily playing evolotion online for hours with no trouble ) and i would be graefull if someone could give me an idea for this as i have exhausted the different graphics options, hyperthreading on off option etc etc etc !

i find the controls easy enough to use - but i have to admit i use TRACK IR VECTOR EXPANSION kit si my head takes care of stuff like leaning left / right and zooming in and out etc so i have less work for the keys to do and i dont need to use the free look button as TRACK IR takes care of that for me. Ovarall i think the keys / command system is easy to use with my set up

have to agree with you here mate ! even common sense says we need to get those smoke grenade launchers on vehicles working, but if only i was a modder i could fix this ! any modders out there want to give this a try ?
-
i believe some of the choppers in Arma are only set to engage vehicles and not infantry if that helps you out ?

Have to agree with sarge rock here, we need the smaller stuff for more fun times, stuff like PBR, Gemini, Rigid raider etc but saying that i love the Soviet Aist class hovercraft and i would love to see that in Arma so we could drive it onto the beach and disgorge the vehicles and men it can carry

Your work looks very very good there ! I love the russian kit even though i am an ex UK military guy, so keep up the good work and hopewe get your work soon to play with -
There really doesn't seem to be much written about it at all. Even the FAL encyclopedia by R. Blake Stevens ("UK & Commonwealth FALs") doesn't mention any such variant. Anyway, there's still quite a lot to do before I can start doing textures for any of the stuff. It's incredible the amount of time this modding stuff takes (especially when the modder is a farkin' n00b) just for your help sir quite often weapon mods were locally made by a nice guy in an armoury then after some poor squaddie tried it out more were knocked up by local armourers in places like N.I even though the weapon set up never bacame an ' official ' variant if that helps, hence the ' marksman ' variant but few official listings or pics in books etc Hope this useless bit of info helps you in some way and lets you stress less lol Keep up the good work though they are looking very nice indeed

Ex UK para here - damn lucky you getting an issue of left handy mate ! But i have to say i started my military career with the SLR and love that weapon so keep up the good work and let us rip asap when the mod is ready

All i can say is cant wait for the British Kit to arrive as i am an ex UK Para and loved using british kit in OFP and cant wait to do so again in Arma !!!!!

Very nice work here ! and especially the Magazine colours, very realistic too, they are very life like as i have used the real weapons countless times and think your colours are very good here

Looking good there mate ! go for it as you want it to be

Roger that mate. I too come from the era of FN and FN mag ( called SLR and GPMG in my day ) though we used to drop a trace round second from last in our SLR mags to let us know we had 1 round left before mag was empty. And yes the LMG/GPMG is bloody heavy but what a beast it is down on its bipod or even better on its SF tripod for good old fashoined sustianed fire ! And yes trace is both ways in this game i believe for MP fairness etc etc !
