Recommended Posts

Hi there.

Ive noticed that whenever i have run OFP, i still have the operationflashpoint.exe running, using 0% cpu, but takes about 34 megz of ram.

Is this memory leaks?

Doesn't sound like a memory leak to me. Sounds more like the .exe doesn't terminate properly. Haven't seen this myself, but I'll be sure to check for it.

LoL, I get all of my 512MB used and still swap about 50MB more to the HD. Wonder why that is? confused.gif

Thats not what I consider a memory leak. However, there is one in Flashpoint or possibly it's jsut the video cards driver (ATI). It happens when you ALT-Tab a lot. I still use the ALT-Tab --> rename save.fps trick and after doing that like ten times the game will crawl and I have to quit & restart.

I think if it gets worse over time then that is a memory leak.

I've heard a lot about those problems. OFP plays just fine until at some point the computer starts to swap constantly. And if OFP can only allocate 256mb of memory, how is it possible for OFP to get 512mb? Sounds like a leak to me.

Is there a test out there to test memory ? like benchmarking or testing your video card ?

Why are people using that stupid and EXTREMELY impractical way for saving???

All you have to do is hold down the [left shift] and the numpad [minus] key. Release them, then type SAVEGAME it's that easy!!
